ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Jeff is a seasoned professional artist with 40 years of experience in the art industry. Starting out as a commercial illustrator, Jeff made a successful transition into the computer game industry where he thrived as a concept artist and art director. A major turning point in his career was the opportunity to work for DreamWorks in Los Angeles, California, where he refined his skills in concept art and visual development for the entertainment sector. This experience opened up new artistic possibilities for Jeff, allowing him to delve into the intricate world of storytelling through the creative use of color, shape, cinematography, mood, design, and symbolism.

Throughout his career, Jeff has made artistic contributions to a range of notable projects, including games like Metal of Honor, Evil Dead, Need For Speed series, Clive Barker’s Undying, and Small Soldiers. After his time in Los Angeles, Jeff moved to Seattle, Washington, where he took on the role of senior art director for Big Fish Games. During his tenure there, he oversaw the development of the hugely popular Mystery Case Files and “Hidden Expedition“ series of hidden object/adventure games.

Jeff's produced artwork for corporations such as Disney, Pixar, Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, EA Games, Blizzard/Activision, Big Fish Games, Smithsonian Institute, and American Airlines. In addition to his professional achievements, Jeff is passionate about mentoring the next generation of artists through teaching and guest speaking engagements. He has taught at North Texas State University and Collin County Community College, as well as led workshops on traditional painting, concept art, digital painting, and entertainment art. Jeff's enthusiasm for art and dedication to nurturing talent shine through in all his endeavors.

In addition to his teaching endeavors, Jeff has served as a consultant for prestigious art schools like Art Center School of Design, Art Institute, Digipen, and NCAD, offering lectures, panels, recruiting services, and portfolio reviews. As Jeff's career progressed, he found his passion in creating fantasy-themed artwork. With four feline companions as his furry muses, Jeff's personal work often features his beloved cats.
