EPISODIC DRAWING

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Lea Yunk is an artist and owner of the Episodic Drawing, where she offers a range of art prints, stationary, and patterns with a distinctive witchy eclectic vibe.

Staying in beautiful Singapore, she is constantly surrounded by and reminded of the beauty of nature every day, and her artwork centers around natural elements, magical patterns, and vibrant pops of color against dark backgrounds.

She had been working as a graphic designer for more than 10 years. However she took a long break from art after welcoming her third child. After spending the precious moment of motherhood, she started to publish her works again, and reconnect her artistic passion as an illustrator.

Since launching in 2019, she has featured as a top-selling designer in various marketplaces, and collaborated with many retailers and manufacturers for stationery, fabric, home decor, gifts, clothing, and book cover etc. Some of her clients include The Peter Pauper Press, Disturbia Clothing, Hot Topic, ECell Global, Quarto Publishing, Penguin Random House and The Bookish Box.

She loves to describe her art as a capture of the “strange wonderful” moments of the night that happen quietly, often unnoticed by many. In her heart, there is a part that still believes that something magical happens at night. Somewhere inside dark layers of darkness, with bright colors and dances, but always in silence. Like a firework that makes no sound, like how we sometimes can speak only with our eyes, in silent sparkle.

Through her art, she aspires to bring some magical quality to people’s lives so that they can get healed and their busy hearts calmed. You can visit her website here:  https://www.episodic-drawing.com
